Mission Statement: To establish a company of our RCBS dancers to take ballet out into the communities of Russell, Embrun and surrounding areas, while allowing our dancers to experience the joys of performing before live audiences.
Pre-requisites:

Successful completion of minimum RAD Grade 1 Examination and/or Class Award or minimum 2 years training in dance, participating in technical classes.

Registered in a minimum of 2 dance classes one of which MUST be ballet from September 2025.

Attend the RCBC audition, Sunday September 14th, 1:00 - 4:00 pm

Be available for ALL rehearsals on Fridays 6:00-8:00 pm, starting Sept 19th until the show dates. No exceptions

Attend ALL performances.
Rehearsals:
Rehearsals will be at our studio on Fridays (exact timing and schedule to be announced). ALL rehearsals are MANDATORY.
Performances:
We are looking to perform in schools, churches, senior residence homes and many more locations. We are planning for at least 2 performance windows this year: December 2025 and December 2025/January 2026. There is a potential for another series of performances in the spring, depending on interest and availability.

Notes:

Dancers should be ready and willing to work hard and pick up choreography quickly.

Dancers should be ready and willing to practice at home as much as possible.

Dancers should be excited and open to sharing their love of dance with different ages, levels and abilities.

The main focus discipline is Ballet, however dance is dance. RCBC is about movement and expression, all dancers welcome from any discipline as long as you meet the prerequisites.

Depending on how many dancers we get at the audition will determine how many company dancers we have and if we need to split into groups etc. Exact rehearsal schedules and timings may differ within the given times and dates. This will be determined after the audition and before the first rehearsal.

This is our 3rd year, please be patient in the process. We are still working on the development and growth in this adventure.
